Quinta da Abelenda lies adjacent to the beautiful Ecopista do Dão, a 49 km cycling and walking path connecting Santa Comba Dão and Viseu and built along the route of a former railroad line, following the river Dão for miles and very easy to cycle.

Walks
Two spectacular walks nearby
Both walks start at points situated just 20 minutes away by car. The Vale de Gaios walk takes walkers through the ‘Valley of the Jays’, following a small river that features numerous beautiful wooden bridges along its course.
The Waterfall Walk also follows the course of a small river, with many small waterfalls along the way. At its end lies a beautiful and much larger waterfall of around 27 metres.
During the summer months, several swimming spots offer the chance to swim in the clean water of these rivers.
